Hurricane Project
Mark has enlisted the help of UK Hurricane expert Stuart Robinson as they track and pursue a Major Atlantic Hurricane as it makes landfall. They will be planning the trip from their UK base and forecasting the projected path of the Hurricane.
They will then fly out and target the eye of the 500 mile wide monster storm. With sustained winds in excess of 130 mph the adventurers will get ‘inside’ the hurricane capturing the entire event as the storm strikes, stretching infrastructure and human endeavour to the full. Stuart will be deploying weather recording equipment, running a live cam and capturing the hurricane in HD video as it makes landfall. Mark will be pushing his Olympus E system to the max as he attempts to capture the hurricane before, during and after it makes landfall without the aid of of waterproof housing or covers. This wil be THE ultimate test for the camera equipment.
